britneysmithphotographyblog bio picture

My passion for childhood photography began the first time I took a photograph of a little one. It has only grown now that I'm expecting my first (yay!), and understand the importance of capturing their sweet lives on film from the first moment you hear that heartbeat. My lifestyle approach to each session allows me to photograph the moments that are most genuine.  I structure my sessions in a way that allow your child's innocence, unpredictabilty and remarkable candid spirit to shine through every photo. My greatest hope is that my photographs will whisper moments of laughter, love, and tell the story of who your child is.

Thank you for stopping by. I can't wait to get to know your family and photograph your little one!

February 13, 2013 - 9:38 am admin - Thanks! I got it at an antique store.

January 22, 2013 - 11:44 pm Kelsey - Hi Britney! The nursery is gorgeous! Where did you find the old window frame? I am looking for one exactly like that!

December 19, 2012 - 3:38 pm admin - I can't remember which tutorial I used but I know all I used was a exercise ball, tacky glue and twine! I also incorporated a vase which I sat the ball on to keep it off the ground. I tried many methods but basically found that putting the glue in my hand and running it along the twine then wrapping the ball worked best. When wrapping the ball don't go in any sort of pattern and make sure to leave a hole at the bottom to take the ball out once it's dried (the vase helps with this). I left it for 24 hours then popped the ball and removed it. You could also use balloons but I wanted mine symmetrical. Thanks for stopping by!

November 26, 2012 - 5:30 pm Stacy Kokes - Do you happen to know the paint color you used on the walls? I LOVE it!

November 12, 2012 - 7:24 pm Callie - I found your blog through On to Baby and I absolutely love the nursery you did for your baby! Do you happen to remember the tutorial you followed on Pinterest for the twine balls? I'm planning my baby's nursery right now and I'm trying to find a trustworthy tutorial for those twine balls, and I'm having no success! If you still have it pinned, or remember where you found it, I would really appreciate it! Thank you!! Callie Manion
