I was asked last month to send several images to be considered for the cover of Shreveport/Bossier Christian Family Magazine. They picked this image and it came out last month! It is my first time being published, so I am rather excited!

I had a couple shoots this weekend and of course if was freezing! Both wanted to do their shoots regardless and I’m glad they did! Here are a few from each….

I traveled to Baton Rouge a couple weekends ago to shoot Elissa and Ben. I knew Elissa because I shot her brother’s wedding last summer, but I also found out that Ben’s sister was in my community group last year! It is such a small world. They were a blast and I can’t wait for their wedding!

I shot Anna and Lyle’s wedding a couple of weeks ago, so now I am able to blog her bridals! We took the majority of them at her parents house in different spots that were significant to her. Thanks Anna, Mrs. Beth, and Mary Glenn for making the day so amazing, and for letting me haul your couch outside!
Here are a few of my favs….

I was in Nashville, TN for a photo conference put on by PPA (Professional Photographers of America) this past week. It was incredibly inspiring, movtivating, and I left with my head filled to the brim with new ideas for this next year. We had the chance to listen to a lecture by Joe Buissink on the second day. He is an amazing photographer who is very accomplished(just check out his site…) but remains incredibly humble and energized by his profession. He said, “I aspire to capture the moments between the moments.” These moments aren’t always blatant or foreseen but they are certainly always beautiful. This one statement resignated with me more than anything else that weekend. It made me re-examine why I first fell in love with photography and what it is I love about my job. He also reminded how much I love b&w film photography. Thank you Joe, you are such an inspiration!
(Sneak peek of Matt of Lauren’s wedding!)

In an effort to deliver the highest quality of service to each client we are now accepting a maximum of 2 weddings per month in 2010. With the new website, we no longer have a calendar to inform you of what months are full. Below is an updated list of available dates.
Here are a few from Katie and Ryan’s wedding in Monroe, Louisiana. I have known Katie since my freshman year at Louisiana Tech. She is full of life and always make me laugh. Her wedding was no exception! Great details and an amazing couple = fantastic wedding!

Where’s Britney?………
